The NMSBA program assists for-profit small businesses in New Mexico to solve technical and business challenges. Arrowhead Center, as a contractor to Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) and Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), utilizes unique resources available at New Mexico State University to assist in a variety of technical and business challenges. NMSBA team members are cross-disciplinary technical entrepreneurs, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and inter-disciplinary graduate students who help small businesses.

1 Million Cups

1 million cups is a free, national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepeneurs. Developed by the Kauffman Foundation, 1MC is based on the notion that entrepeneurs discover solutions and network over a million cups of coffee.

Every Wednesday morning, one or two early-stage startups present their companies to a diverse audience of their peers, mentors, educators and advisors.

Each founder presents for six minutes, followed by a 20-minute question-and-answer session with the audience.

Afterwards, each startup receives feedback via an audience survey and from the local organizers in their city.
